Feeding Time At the Zoo

How do your babies eat? Mine eat only square things:

...and they like to eat together!

I usually feed them separately, but Kaya wasn't going to go for that today! She demanded to eat with Buddy, and who am I to deny a baby food?

Acorn squash is next. It's all cooked up and waiting to be mushed and cubed. Yum! (I'm sure I'm not the only one that finishes their baby's food... and whatever doesn't fit into the ice cube tray!) Speaking of ice cube trays, we use this one. The flexible silicone won't leach anything toxic into the food and makes is so easy to pop out the food cubes.

They look SO cute! I tried to feed Robby rice cereal mixed with breastmilk, but he wasn't really going for that, so I think I will try applesauce! I prefer a fruit to that yucky rice cereal anyway :D

Do they eat the prune juice like a slushy? I never tried that.

No, Kaya unfortunately needs prune juice on a regular basis to... well, keep her regular! This started before she was eating any solids at all. Now that she's started solids we can work with her diet more and prune juice less.

I froze the prune juice in 1oz portions to make it easier for me when I was giving it to her. That way I don't have to measure every time.

Ooooohh! I hear ya - we are in the same boat with my DS, and unfortunately, it got worse for him once he started solids. He was poopin' like a pro when he was EBF'd, but as soon as he started eating "real" food, the trouble began.
