We are still here, making it through new baby-ness! Have a wonderful Christmas, we hope your Channukah was fabulous, and Happy New Year! We'll be blogging again soon.

Today is Kaya's 4th day in the world, and it started out with a pediatrician's appointment! Luckilly no shots, and she got a glowing report. She hasn't lost much weight, but she is long and lean! She's eating well and sleeping well, what more could we ask for?
What's that, you want more pictures? Okay!
I thought we'd finish up the belly pictures with a belly pic at day 4, with the baby (can you belive she fit in there!)

...and without.

Today is the first day I've worn pants without an elastic waistband in six months or so, I forgot what it was like!
Things here have been going really well, and it's like we are back to normal with Mike reading the New Yorker,

and I've been knitting! I finished up a little sweater for Kaya ,but it's debut will be at my knitting group next Sunday (Kaya's due date!), so you'll have to wait to see it.
I started writing this yesterday and then a baby got in the way, and a nap, and bed, so bear with us here! More updates to come soon.
Our lovely Tadpole has emerged into the living breathing world! She was born Monday, December 4th, at 11:22PM after an induced labor because of a pre-eclempsia scare. Everyone is doing wonderfully.

Her name is Kaya Nonalyn, and she was a healthy 7lb 5oz, and 19.5" long.

She loves that she was born into a world with an amazing "Circle of Friends". We both thank you all again for the fabulous blanket! It kept her so warm in the cool hospital.

...but she's not sure how she feels about bundling up for a ride in the car!
More info will come, but for now, it's time to rest!
