The Aquarium

Kaya and I went to the aquarium last week and had a blast! The New England Aquarium has a large tank in the middle and a spiraling walkway around it. Different creatures live at every level and there are huge windows for ample exploration!

We can't wait to go to the Aquarium again!

Kaya is Famous

We do a lot of signing with Kaya. We'd originally thought that we would stick to the real necessities, (milk, more, all done), but she's responded so well that we have added many more to her signing vocabulary.

We were asked to participate in a baby sign video, and here it is! They took a lot of footage that day and there should be two more videos to come, but here is the first.

A Cakey Day

Kaya had a wonderful birthday yesterday! We didn't do too much to celebrate. Because her birthday is in between the winter holidays, we decided that we will make a big to do for her half birthdays, so look forward to a half birthday party this summer!

Of course, we couldn't let her first birthday go totally unacknowledged!

I think Kaya likes birthdays! ...and really, what's a first birthday without a cake in the face shot? I'm sorry to dissapoint with no chocolate frosting, but really... she's only 1!

I'l Be 1 Tomorrow!

...but today I'm:

learning to drink from a sippy,

helping Naomi and Mama sort sock yarn,

reading books with Buddy,

playing at Baby Gym,

and eating sushi.

There are many other things I've been up to of course, but those are all of the pictures Mama had handy at the moment!

This was taken on the way to Kaya's fourth costume event in five days! Whew, she has one busy social schedule! This one we got to take Buddy with us though. Isn't he the cutest pig you've ever seen?
